“It's a funny thing, how much time we spend planning our lives.
We so convince ourselves of what we want to do,
that sometimes we don't see what we're meant to do.”
Susan Gregg Gilmore
I met Gino and Eva on the day of the shoot and immediately thought, "These two are going to make cute babies together!" I got the feeling that they didn't exactly see this relationship coming, but am pretty sure it's one for the books. Don't you just love how some love stories are like that? Couples go for YEARS, and I mean YEARS before tying the knot, and then you have those who meet and fall in love and that's it, wedding bells and everything that goes with it.
Love can be unpredictable like that.
Love can be, yes indeed, sir, very much like a girl with PMS. Not a very romantic analogy (haha!) but there it is. I loved shooting this couple, they make such a pretty pair. And the venue! I wished we had more light that day, no rain showers, more sun, more time! The venue was gorgeous, with a winding asphalt road that curves through the entire area, a field of pink and white bougainvilleas, a charming little chapel and the most beautiful view of the sea. There was no better place to take their photos.

The Zygote Chronicles
family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family, family
My cousin Daylin got married a few months back and now she's carrying a healthy baby girl that is due to come out anytime next month! I can still remember Daylin as a little girl, all bungisngis and loud whenever her family would come to our hometown for the summer. Now she is a full grown woman, married, and with another life growing inside her. It boggles the mind, frankly, how time could fly so fast. It seems like yesterday when we were kids playing and climbing trees. I suppose we all have to grow up and have babies and build our families, and I am so glad to see Daylin building her own with the man of her dreams and very soon, the first (I hope) of many children.
I cannot wait to see this little person in the flesh, all pink and wrinkly as most babies tend to be. I can just imagine this little baby growing up to be a head turner like her mother. And with an excited family, complete with aunts and uncles and lolos and lolas on both sides to greet her arrival, I'm sure this little bundle of joy is excited to come out into the world too.
Meet Diann and Debra. They're having a baby brother soon and from the looks of it, they're pretty excited about the whole thing. I attended the baby shower since their parents are friends and classmates of mine. I got there before the rest of the visitors arrived, so I managed to take a few shots of the girls. Precocious and very eloquent for their ages, Diann and Debra got me huffing and puffing as I followed them around the house and yard. But they were so cute, so all that work was worth it. Can't wait to see the little brother when he finally arrives!
