Travel {NBOOKS Club Hills}

“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”

Conversations with William Styron

The husband knows  I love discovering new places, especially cafes and bookstores, so he deliberately hid our destination from me until the last minute.  However, his map went crazy and the  bookstore wasn't where the map told him it would be, so he resorted to showing me the photos and I guessed where it was! Sometimes, teamwork and my preference for memorizing landmarks over relying on maps (which I don't know how to read), works pretty well for us.

But all the credit for finding this new branch of NBooks goes to the husband. He really knows where to find them, and he knows that finding another bookstore closer to home would really make me happy.

This is NBooks Hills, which is inside the mall opposite the Jinjia International Building along Beibin  Road. Like other NBooks bookstores, this one has a coffee shop, crafts section and a place where you can read and listen to a selection of music by the windows, which means that you can do more than just go in to buy books.  I also love how airy the design is. Each  NBooks location has something  that makes it unique, and this one, aside from having a park on its roof, has a tall ceiling bookcase illuminated by a sunroof that makes it a huge draw for people who are coming in for the first time.

Places like NBooks make me believe that printed books are not dying out anytime soon. In fact, I think they're staging a pretty strong comback! A couple of shots from our afternoon here.
